A: The Interactive Heritage Map, hosted on www.oregontic.com is a navigable map that shows visitors or potential visitors where all of the Heritage Trees and Historical markers are located throughout the state. When travelers are making their plans to travel they can incorporate one or many of theses sites to visit along their way. [Back to questions]
Q: Why should my business be listed on the map?
A: By having your business listed on the map, your business will be seen by travelers planning trips specifically surrounding cultural and heritage activities; one of the most popular and significant segments of the travel industry, accounting for 23.7% of all domestic trips. According to the US Travel Association, a recent study sites that cultural travelers stay longer and spend more money than those travelers who do not participate in those activities. Q: What does it cost to have my business listed on the map?
A: Have your business listed for only $100 per year.

Q: How do people know about the map?
A: In addition to hosting this on the Oregon Travel Information Council’s website, we are linked to the Southern Oregon Visitors Associations website and the Eastern Oregon Visitors Association website, which has also purchased listings for all stops along the Oregon Trail. [Back to questions]

A: We have advertised in VIA Magazine, (AAA’s publication) and in 1859 magazine distributed at like of Fred Meyer stores, Barnes & Noble and Whole Foods.[Back

Q: Is it advertised anywhere else?
A: Fourteen travel Information Kiosks in select rest areas have backlit panel displays of the map, directing the motoring public to our website. We plan to place link to other relevant historical websites in the state. [Back to
