What's Happening with the Siskiyou Welcome Center?
The Jackson County Planning Commission held its third hearing on May 8, 2008.
The next hearing is scheduled for June 12, 2008. This will be only rebuttal testimony from the Oregon Department of Transportation. Written testimony will be accepted to the Planning Commission until that time. After this hearing they will deliberate for up to 45 days prior to voting and making their recommendation to Jackson County Commissioners.

Strategic Rest Area Plan Town Hall Meeting
There are 32 rest areas in the state that are owned by the Oregon Department of Transportation. Others are owned by State Parks.
