The Oregon Travel Information Council (TIC) is a semi-independent state agency that links Oregon travelers with businesses and services through programs such as roadside signs, brochure display programs, rest area light-box advertising, WiFi hot spots, Travel Plazas, and business listings on TripCheck.com. TIC also provides for the presentation of Oregon's unique history and geology through support of the Oregon Heritage Tree and Oregon Historical Marker programs.

TIC has worked to serve the Oregon motorist since its formation by the State Legislature in 1972. Oregon was one of the first states to implement such a program, and it has since grown to be one of the premier programs in the nation. TIC is a national leader in providing new programs for the tourism industry, many of which are now used in other states. In addition, TIC is the founding member of MISA, an international association of motorist information and services entities.

TIC is also completely self-sufficient, funded entirely through sign fees, grants and donations.

TIC Council members and staff produce programs that succeed through applying the principle of cooperation; through working together with other state agencies, private industry, and the general public, TIC meets the needs of Oregon motorists, and exceeds the expectations of program participants.
